Michael attended college at the University of Texas–PanAmerica, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in accounting while lettering two years on the Broncos baseball team. It was in the Rio Grande Valley that Michael began his career in public accounting in 2005. In 2007, he moved home to Houston, Texas and a short time later began working for HL&B.

Michael has more than 12 years of experience in public accounting performing audits, reviews, compilations, and tax work in a wide diversity of industries including financial institutions, construction contractors, insurance entities, and employee benefit plans. He has worked with small to middle market private and public companies, including assistance with SEC filings.

Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and its Houston Chapter. In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and their two kids. His hobbies include golf and baseball.
